Summer is one of my absolute favorite seasons.
I love waking up to the birds chirping, the sun shining, and hearing little kids excitedly playing outside. (Corny enough for you? haha)
I am serious though. There is something so relaxing and simple about summer days. School is out for a while and there is adventure to be had with these warm days. I especially love the extra time I get to spend with my Ol's. It seriously is the best thing!!
(Well I guess I am in the corny mood :)

Onto pictures!
Here are some of the adventures we have had recently.

Rock Climbing:

In the picture below, this was the wall that I climbed very last. It was the wall that I was determined to finish before we headed home. There were three huge slants that you were basically having to hang upside down and swing yourself up to try to get to the next part of the wall. There were points that my legs were shaking and my arms were weak, however I made it to the top! Rock climbing is such an adrenaline rush! We loved the fact that it pushed you to your limit and challenged your determination. It was the greatest feeling to overcome the obstacles awaiting you and make it to the top.
Overall it was a blast and it was wonderful to be cheering for your spouse to get to the top!
It was also very special to watch a group of children that came in to rock climb towards the end of our stay. Most of the children had down syndrome, and I couldn't help but tear up as they were progressing to the top. All of the children would cheer for one another and there was such love that was shared among them. The greatest part of all was when a girl made it to the top, and she kept screaming "I did it!" over and over again. It was an awesome event to watch, and I couldn't stop thinking about what special spirits these children are.

Sofia's Birthday:
We had the Geary family camp-out this day (Jabin was visiting from Boston!) and so we were not able to go with my family to Joe's Crab Shack and to be with her when she blew out her "real" cake for her birthday. We didn't want to miss my sister's 20th birthday all together so Ol's and I decided to at least make her a cake and have her blow out some candles before we left for the camp-out.  We love you sis! We are so proud of you and what you are accomplishing! You are beautiful! Happy Birthday!

(Don't judge the homemade icing on the cake that Oli and I made for Sofia :) We were up at 1:30 a.m. making it and it seems to have shown throughout our icing. But don't let it fool you, it was delicious!)

Katie's Bridal Shower:
This was such a blast! The girls all got together to celebrate our good friend Katie's wedding. I absolutely love this girl and we are so excited to see her and Mitch get married this Saturday. They are going to be so happy together, and Katie is going to make one BEAUTIFUL bride!
I seriously LOVE these girls!

Geary Family Camp-out:
Jabin had flew in from Boston to visit and we of course wanted to celebrate him being here! Grandma Loush organized the Geary Family Camp-Out for all of us to come. We played games till 5 a.m. ( well I didn't last that long haha but Ol's did), we swam, shot clay pigeons, ate DELICIOUS food, and we overall just spent time together as a family. It was wonderful!

Yes, I shot in a dress. I did it Pioneer style. :)
In all reality I simply didn't have time to change. By the time we were all loading up in the truck; I just hopped in, dress and all :)

We also celebrated Jay's birthday while he was here! Happy Birthday Jay! You are so much fun to be around and we always love seeing you!
Doug wanted to play an extreme game of Risk while he had all of the boys home. As some of you who have played Risk before know that this game can take up a long time. Albeit, Doug wanted to combine two Risk boards and play it double-time. Double the boards= double the fun + double the time. The boys absolutely loved it, and it was so fun to see them try to strategize taking over both worlds!

Daniel and Diana Visit Logan:
Last week Daniel and Diana came and stayed with us for 4 days! We really LOVED having them here and for all the fun times we were able to have during their stay.
The first day they were here was a Sunday. After we went to church, we rode our bikes and rollerblades down to First Dam and took a long nap and watched the ducks. It was very relaxing!

This duck came up to Ol's while he was sleeping.
Daniel took the above picture and the last two pictures.
Above: We were loving relaxing outside. (We were dead asleep at this point)
Below: Beautiful pictures of the geese at First Dam.
Then Sofia came and surprised us Sunday night by coming to stay the night with us and enjoy Logan's Pioneer Day Celebration with us the next day! (She had to work the day after that so she couldn't stay any longer with us.)
Here she is in our vacant upstairs neighbor's balcony. While we were playing volleyball, the ball accidentally got hit up there. Sofia took the prerogative to climb up there and get it for us, and then climb back down. What a woman!
(Ol's wasn't there at the time or else he would have gotten it so Sofia wouldn't have had to :)

The parade!
I mostly just got pictures of us at the parade, and not any pictures of the parade. :)
I love the house that is in the background of this picture below. It is so beautiful!
This picture is for Nana and Sofia :)
Here is one of USU's football players.
Nana has been to Logan's Pioneer Day Celebration with us for three summers now! We love having this tradition with her, and we were excited that we got to share it with the rest of our siblings this year! (We were missing Nessa, Zach, and little one)
(The picture down below is from Pioneer's Day last year)

Pie Eating contest!
This is something that we have been doing every year and we love it! Oli and I have never gotten close to winning, however Daniel-son brought in the heat this year and almost won! He took a close second to the girl on his right! Way to go buddy!
p.s. There is only video of Oli, Sofia, and I doing the pie eating contest for our age group, no pictures.
He almost had it!
Oli and I playing around at the science booth...
and at other booths.
Here is the Mountain Man candy cannon that Daniel is participating in. They shoot candy out of a cannon, and all of the kids run after it. It is great to watch!
The Mountain men and the cannon. (It is itty-bitty :)
After everything slowed down and we had a picnic; we went and cooled off in a little creek. There was even a table in the middle of the creek, and we of course took advantage of that!

Swimming at the Aquatic Center:
This is always a blast, and a perfect way to cool off! It was really fun to go with the family and enjoy the pools!

Haha I look a bit scared in the above picture!
I loved the first safety rule! Your swimming suit is required :)

Below: The boys showing off their support for Children's foundation. (They got those in the parade :)
I
Eating Little Ceasar's while waiting for the firework show...
...and playing volleyball and card games!

Racquetball:
We all laughed so hard while playing racquetball together! Daniel and Diana would play against both Ol's and I at separate times, and it was a blast!
Nan taking a nap before we headed out to Cafe Rio.
Eating delicious Cafe Rio!

Aggie Blue Cheese Tour:
This was quite the interesting tour! At the very beginning of the tour, the presenter handed out 4 boxes of cheese that we could sample and pass along. Once it came to our turn, this man brought us three boxes of cheese. I recognized that his wife still had the fourth. I didn't think too much of it and we sampled the cheese and passed it on, assuming that the fourth box of cheese would come to us soon. Well let's just say that this couple had other plans with it. We went through the entire movie and presentation without this cheese. I then turned back to see if she still had the cheese, and that's when I caught her putting it in her purse.
Well... to make a long story short, it was called out that people didn't get to try the last cheese sample, and I looked back at her and she just had her arms in the air gesturing that she had no idea where they went. Haha Soon after that, the cheese "randomly" reappeared and everyone was able to enjoy the last box of cheese. Hooray! The cheese thief was caught! :)
It made for quite the interesting tour if I do say so.

Aggie Ice Cream:
While we have been married, Oli and I have never gone to Aggie Ice Cream. That is pretty sad! So after the cheese tour, we stopped and ate some wonderful Aggie ice cream!

Renting Tandem Bikes:
Tandem bikes are hilarious! I could not stop laughing  while we were riding these. It takes a little bit to get used to them at the first- and then after that it a blast! I was a bit nervous being on the back seat (ask Nana) and it made for some funny times! We would rent tandems again in a heart beat!
Dean's List:
Every time I would walk into the Education building; I would always see the Dean's list. And every time I passed it; I would think to myself how I would love to be on there.
Well... I am so happy to say that as Oli and I were showing Nan and Daniel the Education building; I walked by the Dean's list as we always do, and this time I am proud to say that my name was on there! It made me so happy that I started cheering and saying how I excited I was to be on there when a woman walks by and says, "That is an excellent list to be on, and I should know, I am the dean."
How awesome! That experience made it all the more worth it! :)

Sno Shack:
Shaved ice is a perfect summer treat!

After the shaved ice, we went shopping for snacks and got a movie for our awesome fort!

TGI Friday:
On the last day that we had Daniel and Nana, we met up with my mother, Nessa, and little one and ate at TGI Friday in Riverdale. It was great to be able to spend a little time with them before we headed home!
We absolutely loved having Nan, Sofia, and Daniel come up to Logan!

Meg and Tanner's Wedding:
One of my good friend's from college got married this last weekend. We all first met during our freshman year in college and have stayed close ever since! I loved seeing all of them and being able to celebrate such a happy moment for Meg! Whenever we are all together we always have a good time :)

It was sooo hot that day. The water fountain at the temple was very nice :)

I loved our bridesmaid dresses! Meg's aunt made them for us and she did a wonderful job!
My handsome man!
The Twin Falls Temple is beautiful!
The wonderful reception! I loved the way that it was decorated. It fit Meg's personality perfectly :)

Our corsages were awesome!
Meg's brother is on a mission right now. That is why you see random pictures of the poster-faced boy everywhere :)
We helped make the food for the reception, and  we were really proud about that :)
Kodi's (my good friend) awesome Mustang! If we were to get one...it would be this exact model :)

When Meg's brothers decorated the car; they didn't exactly know which one the happy couple were taking on their honeymoon. That is why they decided to decorate both cars... just in case :)
Meg and Tanner's wedding was so much fun and I am so glad that we were able to see everyone!

Babysitting Little Will:
This last Saturday we got to babysit little William while his parents went out to a movie.
We loved watching him! I couldn't help but just look at him the whole time he was here. Babies are just soo dang cute!
We were sad to see his parents come and take him away :)
