Summer Lovin', Having a Blast

This summer has been an absolute blast. Here is what we have been up to in the past little while!

We have been on picnics....

Oli of course has to attempt to go down the hill on the bike :)
And climb a tree.  Adventure is always out there :)
Otter Pops and watermelon is a summer must for the Gearys. Oh and burnt almond fudge ice cream.

We've been to some Fairs..

Look how weirdo-bigierdo my eyes look in this picture! This was a result of wearing the "Beer Goggles".

The woman who was helping with this booth knew exactly where the bean bags were going to be thrown. She stood in the exact same spot for everyone who came out to try it. I honestly felt like I was throwing it right at the holes every time, however it always ended up taking a hard left.

Oli had the same story :)

Guess what type of dog this is that I am holding? Would you guess that it was being sold for $1,000? Haha that price definitely threw me for a curve when I first saw the box of puppies and thought that they were going to be for free. You can imagine my jaw dropping when I asked how much these little guys were worth. By the way, this puppy is a  Mastiff. He will one day grow to look like this..

Both Oli and I were stricken with terrible allergies this day.. as you can see from both of our red, swollen eyes.
We have BBQed with friends...

I have been making crafts....
(Which is now one of my favorite things to do! Seriously, I really love taking something that I probably would have thrown away and transforming it into something beautiful.)

Here I am making jute balls

Why yes, I am holding a knife in this picture. :) I loved this part of the process with making jute balls. You had to pop the balloon that was giving shape to the jute balls and pull out what remains the balloon had left. It was fun to see the balloons almost disintegrate as you popped each and every one.
TA-DA! The completed jute balls. The pink balls are actually made out of yarn. I thought these would be darling in a little girls room.
These are little lanterns that I am going to be hanging somewhere in our home. It will look somewhat like this..
We have had delicious homemade apple pie...

We have had good naps...
We have gone on many date nights....

We have watched outdoor movies and goofed off afterwards...

We have enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July.
p.s. that skirt that I am wearing.. I made it! Yipee!

Daniel-son was an excellent pooper-scooper.
We have ran a 5K ....
We have shot off some pretty cool fireworks....
The boys were like little kids when it came to shooting off fireworks.
We have played softball games...
We have been swimming....
And best of all, we have been with our families!
Mother also had a facial, however she did not want to have her picture taken :)

Going to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part two. I thought the movie was FANTASTIC!
We have a tradition of dressing up for Harry Potter movies. Below is us in the summer of '09 getting ready to view Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Playing late night games is a must on summer nights.

This summer has been splendid. Keep it coming summer of 2011! :)
