Our Latest Happenings

School is now in full swing up here in Logan! Both Oli and I are going full time, and it has been great so far! (We are just on our third week :) Here are a few pictures of our latest happenings:

Oli getting ready to go to class on my sweet bike. :) His bike had a flat tire that day so he had to opt out and take my "granny bike", as some of my family members have put it.

Utah State vs. Weber State volleyball game. It has been a long time since we have seen a volleyball game! It was wonderful watching the Aggies take a win!
That same night we went and watched Iron Man 2 outside on Old Main hill with Ike and Jess. It was a tad bit chilly, but all the more incentive for cuddling :) Jess even brought their comforter! Haha it was a fun night!
Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

On Friday night Oli and I went to Olive Garden an partook of their awesome "Never Ending" Pasta! Mmmm it was great! Our waiter politely gave us our check as Oli and I were debating on whether or not we were wanting another plate (which would be our third for the both of us). I guess they have to stop the "Never ending" pasta somewhere. :)

Us waiting outside for Olive Garden

Then on Saturday night we hit up the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Concert. It was a bit wild being down on the floor with the mosh pits- however I was able to hear one of my most favorite songs live,"Face Down", so that was great!

Then to celebrate Labor Day, we went home and partied with my family. On Sunday night we were going to go camping, however it was a bit chilly, so instead we went and spent the night at my aunt Rochelle's. It was such a fun night as we played cards, ping-pong, and watched Avatar until the late hours of the night. Nothing beats spending time with the ones you love, especially when it includes such fun things!
Then that morning my parents headed to Portugal! I am so glad that they were able to get away and go enjoy some relaxing time with great food, family, and of course the amazing beach! They will be over there for two weeks... lucky.
Albeit, while they are enjoying the amazing Portugal, all of my siblings packed up the car (with a few distractions that made us a little late :) and then headed over to swim at the Kamas Rec. Center. It was such a blast as we all swam, dove off the high diving board, went down the slide, and all talked and laughed. The little one, Aniston, absolutely loved it. (By the way she is now walking everywhere! It's amazing how two or three weeks ago when we saw her she could pick herself up and walk a little bit, however when we went home last weekend she was walking all over the place.) Then after we were done swimming, we had pizza in the park and then went home and relaxed before Oli and I headed back up to Logan.
Sadly... I didn't get any pictures of the fun day.

Then here are some pictures of this last week's happenings:

Last night Oli and I went to the USU football game with Ike and Jess- and guess what? Utah State won! Yep, you heard me. Utah State's football team won :)
Loving the game!

Then we went and celebrated the win by going out to Aggy's. They were having a sweet deal that if USU got over 21 points, you could go and order an Entree and get a hamburger and fries free. We couldn't pass that up :)

Oh! And I also wanted to show you our new hobby! Oli and I have started cooking/baking a TON these past few weeks! Our want for trying out new things was fostered by the amazing Food Network, and since then there has been dirty dishes and content stomachs:) We are even starting a food blog that is documenting our new adventures with the recipes, both the good and the bad. And can I say how much fun this has been? I never thought I would be a "cooker". I didn't really ever seem to get the concept of cooking being fun. However, I can now say that it is one of my most favorite past times that Oli and I are involved in.
Since the food blog is still a work in progress, I will show you the two things we made this week. Banana Bread and Donuts! It was absolutely wonderful smelling homemade bread in the home and having delicious donuts that we made ourselves.

Oli enjoying the donuts :) We maybe had 20 donuts in two days....

p.s. my pictures are all taken by my cell phone so I am sorry if you can't see them to well!

I hope you have a great day!
