Decorating for Christmas

As soon as we arrived back from our Thanksgiving fun- the Christmas bug was on overhaul.
This year we wanted to have all of our Christmas decorations up earlier, since last year I think we got it up a week before we left to go visit family haha.
With Jingle Bell Rock playing in the background, we started pulling out all of our boxes marked "Christmas", and unraveled all of our Christmas memories we made from our first Christmas of being married :)
We then of course made some sweets, and off we went into decorating our home to match with our Christmas spirit.

Fixing the fake tree to make it look real :)
Putting up the Christmas lights
Stringing popcorn to go around our tree

And Oli playing with our string of popcorn :)
Hanging up more decorations all around the house
Putting up our little snowman
The finished product of the tree, with our popcorn strings, our homemade ornaments, and other little ornaments we acquired from our adventures.
Our stockings that we have had since we were little kids. You can tell mine has a little wear and tear on it, but that is what makes it special :)
Then we made homemade ice cream from snow to finish our night off! Yep, from the snow you have right out in your backyard. We first made sure that it was freshly fallen snow (we didn't want it to be contaminated in any way :) and then off we went into making quick and easy ice cream! (Just add some sugar and vanilla) It was really delicious! Thanks Roxy for the recipe!

Then TA-DA! Our home is ready for Christmas! We love it, it adds such a warm and cozy feeling to our home!
