First Year Anniversary!

We just got back yesterday from our wondeful vacation to Yellowstone! (I will do that post next time) However I wanted to post about our first year anniversary before I forget to do that :)
On June 5th it was our first year anniversary! I seriously cannot believe (and sorry for the cheesiness that is about to follow) that I could ever love someone so much! Thanks Oli for giving me the best year I could ever ask for! Our first year was an absolute blast, and I am looking forward to the many more years to come. Thanks for making me EXTREMELY happy, supporting me, being at my side through all of our crazy adventures, and for making me a better person. Marriage is the best! Oh how I looove you! :)

For our anniversary, Oli kept where we were going and what we were doing all a surprise! He is quite romantic...

On our way!

We thought this beetle was funny. It had a surf board and everything on the top of it...not exactly what we are used to seeing in Logan, Utah.

Cruising on the shopping cart while we are shopping for snacks to eat on our trip.

Oli surprised me by booking a hotel room in Draper at the Holiday Inn. We were so excited to be able to get away and celebrate!

Then he took me to Rodizio Grill! I love, love, love Rodizio! That was such an awesome surprise!

Oh how I love their Brazilian lemonade

Then after Rodizio, we cruised around Salt Lake with the windows down, music blaring, and us singing at the top of our lungs. If you haven't done this... I would highly recommend it. (No matter how tone deaf you may be :)
After we partied in Salt Lake, we went back to our hotel and ate a piece of our wedding cake that we had saved from last year. To be honest- it still was very good!
One of the biggest attractions for staying at the Holiday Inn in Draper is their awesome slide! Oli and I noticed that the pool opened at 5:30 in the morning- we knew that no one would really be crazy enough to go swimming this early- which meant more time for us to be in the pool by ourselves. (We are the crazy people swimming so early :) So we woke up the next morning- not at 5:30- but at 6:30- and off we went to party in the swimming pool. We had such a great time! It is such a blast being the only ones in the pool!

These photos show what happens when you are the only ones in the pool :)

Staged picture- the slide wasn't open yet- however there was water coming out of it so Oli and I had some fun with it. :)
Then after swimming for 2 1/2 hours we went and had some breakfast. After breakfast, we went straight back to the pool to ride the slide. (The slide didn't open until 9:00 a.m.)
I had to grab my camera when I saw Oli in line with these two little girls. It was hilarious! Oli and I were the only adults going down the slide :)
For the rest of the day we hit up garage sales in Draper (which are awesome) and headed over to Boondocks! Neither of us had been- and we absolutely loved it!
Oli and I were a bit competitive with the bumper cars. We made a great team as we both would try to pass the other people by using a sweet strategy. Bumper cars are my favorite!

We mini- golfed...

Watched three movies in 4-D.....

We played laser tag- which I suggested that Oli and I be on opposite teams. Haha oh man- this was funny. My vest kept showing up that I kept getting hit by someone. I looked everywhere to see who kept shooting me- of course- it was my own husband who was doing it. :) Needless to say, he won the tournament. :)
We did the bumper boats- which is a blast!
And lastly, we had to do the bumper cars again to finish off with a win. (This was probably our 6th time doing it :) Oli took first with the infamous #17 and and I barely made it into second :)

Then we stopped at the IN-N-OUT and had wonderful cheese burgers!
It was a perfect way to celebrate our first year as Mr. and Mrs. Geary and a perfect way to start into another year. Ahh... it was wonderful.

  3. I can't believe it's been a whole year! You guys are so cute. I love it! You two need to come down and party in St. George sometime. I know someone you can stay with and everything (someone is me..it's a clever play on words..nevermind).
