Nya's baby blessing

Last week was Nya's baby blessing. It was such a great sacrament meeting and Greg did such a beautiful job giving her a blessing!
The night before the baby blessing- we went and stayed at Dantzel
and Greg's house. We stayed up late talking and watching "Sherlock Holmes". That is such a great movie! (We are a little behind on our movies :) We had such a great time! Thanks Greg and Dantzel!
The next morning- while I was getting ready- Oli calls my name and asks me to come see what a great handy man Jack is.... I walked in and saw this.
Haha isn't he the cutest mechanic you have seen??

Safety first :)

This is a papyrus that Doug and Louette brought back from their trip to Egypt! It depicts the facsimiles that are in the Pearl of Great Price. I love it! We are going to get it framed and put up in our home.

This is Cora and Ryan's papyrus.. I absolutely love the colors! (It's all hand painted- amazing right?)

Louette got the girls an Egyptian scarf, bracelet, and a necklace with our names on them (in Egyptian).
The purple accessory on my head (I don't know it's name) was given to Madi- but Louette wanted to show me what it looked like on. I think Egyptian clothes are b-e-a-u-tiful!

I don't know what it is- but when you put on Egyptian accessories, you automatically want to do this gesture... a little touristy? Yes, most definitely :)

Oli's turban he got...oh what a stud.

Once again.. we are trying to pull off the Eygptian look :)

We were able to play a little ping-pong

Ike's b-day was the day before the baby blessing but the fam had a celebration for him on Sunday. He turned the big 2-3! In celebration of his birthday, Dantzel made cupcakes!

Who likes cupcakes? "I Do" ... you wouldn't be able to tell by bits of the cupcake on his face would you? :)
Jack had his own b-day party :)

Then this little cutie arrived back from their trip to St. George. It was also Cora's birthday on Sunday- so it was quite the fun-filled day!
Look how cute Maddi's hair is after her pig tails were taken out :)

Then we went outside and enjoyed the nice day!

Blew some bubbles....

Played some hop scotch...

Maddi played her own hop scotch :)...

and went on a walk.

Then just yesterday- I went and took the praxis at WSU. The praxis is this large test that you need to pass in order to get into the elementary education program. I am crossing my fingers that I passed! (I won't figure out for another three weeks)
After I got done taking the monster of a test- we went and had a relaxing day in Ogden.
Ok- so to some of you this wouldn't be that fun.. but I absolutely love going to the nursery! I think I aqcuired this love through doing landscape architecture- I really loove it!

Oli eyeing down which strawberries for us to buy...

The flowers were just gorgeous!

After getting some things at the nursery-we went and ate at Maple Gardens, bought me some new glasses, went to the mall, and had a day all to ourselves! Ah... it was lovely.
Then today- after hearing some talks about doing a kind gesture for someone else- Oli and I decided that we wanted to help make someone's day. I really want to do this more- it feels like sometimes life is so busy that you somewhat forget about the little things you can do for others. I am going to try being better at this!
So today we made some cookies and a little note and knocked on our neighbor's door and ran. haha We had a good time with it.

Trying to be sneaky...

We didn't get the last picture because we were running- but we made it out without being noticed :)
Oh and here's a picture of our plants that we are going to be growing this summer. We are so excited to give it a try! I will tell you if they make it out ok :)

mmmm... I can't wait for fresh strawberries! We have a cute strawberry pot that we are going to transplant them into- but right now they are going to stay in these little plastic containers for a bit.

Have a fantastic Sunday!
