Alaska!

This post is extremely outdated! I have wanted to blog about our amazing trip to Alaska for sometime now... almost seven months to be exact! :) However, instead of WANTING to blog about it- I am now DOING it.Hooray! So I hope you enjoy the trip Oli and I took together with the Geary's last August to Alaska!
We were extremely excited to be heading to Alaska! I was able to marry into the Geary family right before they were going to Alaska.. that's what we would call lucky. :) I have been blessed to have had many opportunities of traveling to amazing places, thanks to my mom and dad, and now, thanks to the Geary's I can now say I have been to Alaska!
Doug and Louette had gotten cabins for all of us on the Excursion Inlet at a private fishing resort called Doc Warner's , about an hour outside of Juneau, Alaska. Doc Warner's employees were wonderful! We were spoiled throughout the whole trip. They fixed us wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner- and they made sure that we were always having a good time. They cut and fillet your fish for you; we were able to do the fun part of fishing and not even have to worry about the dirty jobs. The cabins were absolutely beautiful and simply the whole place looked like a dream.
On our way to Excursion Inlet, we first took about a 30 minute bus ride to the boat, and from there, a three hour boat ride to get to Doc Warner's.

We Arrived!

They were having people grab any random baggage to make it faster with everyone, and then take it to the main area where we all would meet to get your own baggage. This was the baggage
I was left with :)
The rest of these pictures are a collaboration of the entire trip. We fished from the bottom of the sea, whale watched(amazing!), played games late at night, fed the seals, watched porpoise dolphins, ate great food, laughed so much, and got closer as a family. Hopefully these pics will show all that fun we had! :) The Dock we would meet at every day before our fishing day started!
The area where we would meet to eat and play games
Our Cabin
Our room- it was so cozy and quaint.
View from our deck
Ike had a hard time fighting for this fish- we think a sea lion might have had the other end of his fish. Whatever it was, it wasn't going to let go! But Ike won and was able to keep his bitten fish, way to go Ike! :)
The Infamous boat #19.. we would switch around from boat to boat, and boat 19 was always such an adventurous one!
Games, Games, and more games :)
I put on the life jacket after the whales got too close for comfort :)
Cooking class! It was so helpful to see how to make such good food with all the fish we were bringing back home!
These were Doc Warner's grandchildren and I absolutely loved them! They were so much fun and so dang cute!
Jay's ugly fish that he caught! There are some crazy fish in the ocean! By law, you are only able to catch one of these fish a year(due to their good meat). Jay caught a special fish and he didn't even know it! :)
The last day... all of those boxes were full of fish that we took home! We still have so much fish left over! I love it! Halibut is my favorite :)
Playing games on the boat ride home
This was the only bear we saw the whole trip.. in the airport :) Doug, Louette and Cori saw one but we weren't able to.
I love him!
We loved Alaska and are so grateful to Doug and Louette for taking us with them!
