For journeling purposes, I am going to do a re-cap of our summer: (Reader's Discrection: This is a boring post, just something for Oli and I to have in the future for our documents :)
Oh and before I forget- Oli has started up a blog called "A Quick Review"! He has always been one to go-to for recommendations on books, movies, or other things and now he has started a blog for fun on what he thinks are worth recommending! You should go check it out here:http://www.aquickreview.blogspot.com/
- May 7, my best friend Jenn got married in the Manti Temple. It was incredible, she looked b-e-a-utiful and she is now so happy. Hooray for the Peterson's!
- June 4-5th, the celebration of our one year anniversary!
- June 5th, our first year anniversary!
- June 6th, I finished my summer class
- June 8-13th, Stephens' family trip to Yellowstone! This is the trip where we saw the most animals we have ever seen up in Yellowstone! It was such a wonderful trip spent with our great family!
- In the month of June, both our car broke down and we were moving in one day without a knowledge of where. haha It was a bit crazy there for a little bit at the Geary residence, however we survived and are now loving our new place soo close to campus! During this time, we picked up the habit (well we forcefully had to pick it up:) of biking EVERYWHERE, whether it be to work, getting groceries, or just a night out of the town, we biked. Even though it was a little bit of an inconvenience, this time for us was both bonding and has made us really appreciate the simple things in life. We grew an even stronger testimony of Christ and His love for His children, and we were really grateful to the great families we have who supported us along the way. I fell more in love with Oli through this whole thing as we he worked SO hard to find a good place to live in such a short amount of time, and his want for me to be happy no matter the circumstances. He is so very, very good to me. I am a lucky woman! Overall, this was one of those things where it was so bad that you couldn't help but laugh at the circumstance, and in the end, it just seems to work out for the better!
- June 30th, we move from our great apartment down on "the island" to our current, fun apartment in Aggie Village, all in one day. (Thanks so much to both of our parents, Greg, and Jess we were able to get it done in such a short allotment of time.)
- July 3rd, one of my best friends, Kali, got married in the Twin Falls Temple. This was such a special day! She was just glowing. It was also a great road trip for Oli and I as we stopped in the ghettos of Rupert, Idaho (haha my friends are from there and this is what we always refer to it as) and had a picnic, viewed the scenic canyon, got lost on our way back home while jamming to great music, and finally made it back just in time for the famous car show held on main street in Logan. It was such a fun little road trip!
- July 12-17th, Geary family week full of fun activities, many laughs, and great food!
- July 22-24th my little sister Diana came up and stayed with us! We are starting to make a tradition of celebrating Pioneer day up here in Logan together. We had a realy fun time going to the water park, staying up late, hitting up the town's festivities and just spending time together.
- The month of July was a month full of festivities. Oli and I were able to cross off our 2010 summer bucket list by going to Bear Lake (our goal is to make it at least two times each year, which we have succeeded at in the past two summers) a drive-in movie, Boondocks (twice), eat at Rodizio (well that was in June, but it was still on our list :), go tubing down the river, shoot clay pigeons, stay up WAY too late playing games, swinging, eating pizza, watching movies and all other sort of crazy things, go to Yellowstone, hit up a water park, stay overnight in a hotel, go camping, and overall, enjoy a little time away from school work! haha The month of July has always been one of my favorites months of the year, and this year it did not disappoint :)
- July 23rd, Sofia's B-day! She is now the big 19 and will soon be going to SLCC in the pursuit of sport's medicine! She is very smart and will do great at whatever she does!
- July 30th, Oli finishes his summer classes.
- August 6,7, and 8th we went camping up in Bear Lake with my family and Rochelle's family. It was such a blast! We relaxed on the beach, swam a ton, played games, ate good food, swam at night while there was a storm going on (my dad, mom, Daniel, Oli, and I), and had a great time camping with the fam!
- August 17th, Oli got an additional job! He is now working up at USU as a facilitator and test proctor. Hooray!
- August 20th, Nessa's b-day! She is now the Big 24! She is such a great mother! I love watching her and Zach raise the little one. (Which by the way Aniston is now starting to walk and put her hair in pig tails! haha she is waay cute!)
This brings me to now. Both Oli and I have just finished the "Hunger Games" and "Catching Fire", which we highly recommend to everyone! (I was able to read 5 books this summer! That's the most I have in a long time)I am starting a math refresher course tonight for 5 hours each night for a week. Haha it will be so good for me! And then school starts for the both of us next week. We are hoping to have one last week of summer fun and then we will be welcoming in the busyness of school and the cool, crisp autumn season.
Thanks summer 2010, you were awesome.
