Our Christmas!

Hello! So I have to say that I absolutely lovvved this Christmas break!! It has been such a great break to go and visit family and a lot of time for Oli and I to adhere to our adventerous side! To start out... Oli and I went to Old Main and went snowboarding together..ha it's funny to see the two of us side by side snowboarding because let's just say that I am still in the beginners stage trying to not fall down, while I look over and Oli is doing flips.. it's quite the sight, but no doubt it's one of the most fun things I have done and maybe one day I will be doing flips :)(probably not)

And then there was Christmas! Since it was our first Christmas married, Oli and I wanted to have our own Christmas at our place before we went and visited our families. So we had Christmas on the 23 with just the two of us. It was so fun to create our own little traditions and we really enjoyed ourselves while decorating, making our own ornaments, having Santa come to our place, and many other things that has started to shape our traditions that we want to continue for the other Christmases we have to come.

Me trying to do the same :)
These are our ornaments before they were done
Our ornaments after we were done- ha we loved them
Our little creations of ourselves haha
I love our beautiful tree- thanks so much Kelsha for lending it to us!
Oli likes our tree too :)
Baking some goodies for others and ofcourse a little for ourselves
Frosting cookies
Our end results.. Oli is making fun of my constant use of thumbs up haha
We wrapped our presents the night before we had our Christmas, so Oli, to keep the presents a surprise, put up a "cushion fort" in between us while we watched "Ice Age 3"

Cookies left out for Santa to have in the morning
It was so great to have our own Christmas together.I feel very blessed to have each other! I am also grateful to have such great family who give us so much and who really spoiled us this Christmas. We love our wonderful families!
On Christmas Eve we went to my Grandparents house and celebrated with all the extended family. My grandparents always put on such a great Christmas program and ofcourse the family and food aren't half bad either :)

The family :)
My amazing grandparents who ran the show and who are and have been such great examples to me throughout my life.
Then for the Stephen's family gifts to each other, we decided that we were going to do charitable or homeade things to those whose names we drew for our family. I really like this idea because it was from the heart and I think homeade gifts are so much better!
Sofia had Oli and I and she gave us game ideas(we really love games!) and a plate that she wrote Oliver and Mon's First Christmas" and then ofcourse food.. that's always a great gift! Thanks Sofia!
We had such a wonderful time with the family and we are so grateful to "Santa".. mom and dad for giving us a tent and sleeping bags! We absolutely love it and will put them to good use!

Then we went to the Geary's on Christmas day and had a wonderful party! We played games, exchanged gifts, and played "White Elephant". It was a great time!
Jay and Oli playing a game- we had so much fun playing good games! It was fun to see Jay and to spend some time with him over the break.
I laughed so hard when I looked over and saw Madi basically swamped by one of Doug's hats!
Oli, Doug, and Jack playing with the race cars
The Cowboy and I
Oli and Ike putting together Jack's toy... it was a bit hard for them :)
Then it was New Year's Eve! Hooray! This is one of my favorite holidays, and my mother does such a good job with throwing a wonderful party with great food!
I love this picture!
Dad and Mom just put in some new hard wood floors and they look great!
The countdown!
I love him!
Everyone is outside with sparklers and baby fireworks! It was great!
Then... came "Just Dance" on the Wii- and it was Hilarious! It was quite a sight to see us competing against each other while dancing! Vanessa was a pro at it- and the rest of us definitely tried! Oh it is such a fun game!
Oli and my mom were so much fun to watch! Oli get's into the dancing thing!
We coulnd't wait for Ari's turn becuase we secretly had a song picked out for him where you have to smack your behind for one of the dance moves!Sofia was his competitor, and it was so funny!
Spencer and Nana
Me against the pro
Aunt Rochelle and Oli
Then we went to the Geary's for New Year's day (we did a lot of traveling back and forth don't you think-haha- but we wouldn't have it any other way)
Oli loves feeling the baby kick!

It was such a wonderful holiday being married and visiting the family! I am so grateful for everything I have and the wonderful life we live! I hope you all had a very good Holiday season!
